On May 12-13, the 2023 International Conference on Clinical Research in Glaucoma (ICCRG) in conjunction with the Inaugural Ceremony of the Glaucoma Society, Guangdong Medical Association was successfully held in Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center (ZOC), Sun Yat-sen University.
2023 ICCRG was co-organized by ZOC and Guangdong Medical Association. The conference invited 10 internationally renowned clinical research experts from the United States, Germany, Poland, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, as well as more than 60 domestic famous clinical research experts as the invited-speakers, to share their expertise and experience in clinical research. This event attracted more than 300 on-site participants from domestic China and nearly 70,000 people joined the conference online, making it one of the most-attended ophthalmology professional meetings in 2023.
The conference had put a world-class academic program together involving many aspects in clinical research in glaucoma, including “Distinguished speaker series”, “Future prospect of the Glaucoma Society of Ophthalmology, Guangdong Medical Association”, “Clinical research in high myopia and glaucoma forum”, “Glaucoma AI Research Forum”, “EDC in Clinical Research and Project Management”, “Innovation of product, technology and drugs in glaucoma”, “Film festival of Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery” et al. The book donation ceremony of Illustrated Surgical Techniques and Pearls of MIGS, authored by Xiulan Zhang, was held during the conference.
Concluded with a thank-you video, this two-day conference has provided a high quality international academic exchange platform for the scholars to share and exchange their views on the development of clinical research in Ophthalmology.
