The 6th Zhongshan Cornea Forum, the 3rd National Corneal Transplantation Live Surgery Show, the 4th Eye Bank Development Cooperation Conference, and the 1st Guangdong Province Ocular Surface Disease and Dry Eye Annual Meeting were jointly held at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou from May 18th to 21st. The conference was organized by the Guangdong Medical Association and co-hosted by Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Guangdong Eye Bank, Guangdong Provincial Institute of Visual Science, and the Ocular Surface Disease and Dry Eye Group of Guangdong Ophthalmological Society. The event brought together nearly 60 renowned domestic experts in corneal and ocular surface diseases. The Research Fund for Corneal Donation and Transplantation System, approved by the China Organ Transplantation Development Foundation was officially launched on the conference. .

With more than 60 lectures covering the latest advances in keratoconus diagnosis and treatment, dry eye and ocular surface disease diagnosis and treatment, eye bank forum, corneal transplantation surgery and other fields, basic research progress, clinical practice and surgical skills, the discussion and exchanges help to actively promote the domestic corneal ocular surface disease diagnosis and treatment level to a higher level.

On the afternoon of the 19th, the 3rd National Corneal Transplantation Live Surgery Show took place. It showcased 3D-guided Descemet's endothelial keratoplasty, deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty, conjunctival melanoma excision combined with lamellar keratoplasty, ocular surface reconstruction, amniotic membrane transplantation, and various types of pterygium surgeries. The live surgery broadcast attracted a full house audience, and nearly 10,000 ophthalmologists from across the country simultaneously watched the live webcast. This event provided the most direct and visual platform for showcasing the country's top corneal transplantation surgical techniques, demonstrating the high level of expertise in the field of corneal transplantation in China.

Over 300 ophthalmologists from across the country attended this event, while the online viewership exceeded 20,000.
